Benefits of Smart Deal Expiration | MyDealCompass Blog | Business ...

When a business issues online or paper coupons, many times those deals do not get used until months later or at all. The coupons and online deals expire, and you as a business owner do not necessarily know when your customers will redeem the deals before the expiration date.

The myDealCompass Deal Map?shows perpetual deals for different locations. These deals can be used over and over again. However, if a customer redeems a deal and does not use it by the end of the day on which they redeemed it, the deal expires. This is called Smart Deal Expiration.?It is smart because the deal has to be redeemed within a short period of time. If the deal expires before the customer gets a chance to use it and it is a perpetual deal, the customer just redeems the deal again. The customer does not lose money like they would if they redeemed a daily deal, paid up front and then did not use it. The business benefits because it eliminates having deals that are claimed and then redeemed many months later. The environment benefits because there is less paper wasted on coupons.

Another business benefit is that if a deal that you put up on myDealCompass is not bringing the results you expected, you can change that deal. The changes to the deal take place immediately. The old deal expires at the end of the day. The business can take better control and make the deals work for both them and the customer. Everyone wins.
