Make a Secret Toekick Drawer for About $30 [DIY]

That recessed space at the bottom of a kitchen cabinet is dead space, there only for ergonomic reasons. With a cheap drawer kit from Ikea and a little carpentry work, you can turn that space into something much cooler: a hidden drawer.

Nicole Wills writes on Tradewind Tiaras how she did this during her kitchen renovation. The DIY basically involves purchasing a Rationell drawer kit and measuring and cutting pieces of wood for the sides of the drawer so it fits the cabinet properly.
